Jodi Craigen and Dana Malenko perform with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra as part of their celebration of International Women’s Day.

On March 7th, the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra presented its 3rd annual Women's Day concert, showcasing some of the province's finest female jazz musicians. The concert, held at the West End Cultural Centre, captivated a capacity audience with over ninety minutes of music. Among the ensemble were two esteemed music educators from the Sunrise School Division, Jodi Craigen from École Dugald School and Dana Malenko from Anola School, who contributed to the trombone section. Their participation underscored the division's dedication to music education by exemplifying music as a lifelong learning pursuit. A heartfelt congratulations goes out to Dana, Jodi and the rest of the Winnipeg Women’s Jazz Orchestra for their wonderful performance that evening.
